Terms & Conditions
Version v1-2026-07-02 · Effective 2 July 2026
This page is maintained by Journaljoy Private Limited ("Journaljoy", "we", "us") to describe the terms on which you may use the Community Kitchen Menu Planner & Grocery Estimator application (the "Service"). Please read carefully before creating an account.
1. About Journaljoy
The Service is developed, operated and made available by Journaljoy Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. All references to the Service on this page refer to the Community Kitchen web application and any related tooling made available by Journaljoy.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By signing in, completing onboarding, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and any policies referenced here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems;
- upload content that infringes third-party rights or contains malicious code;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.
5. Estimates & advisory nature of outputs
Grocery quantities, per-person weights and other numeric outputs generated by the Service are advisory estimates derived from standardised community-kitchen assumptions and the recipes and headcount you provide. They are not guarantees. Actual procurement should account for wastage, seasonal variation, ingredient quality, cooking style, and local conditions. Journaljoy is not responsible for shortages, excess purchase, spoilage, or nutritional outcomes arising from reliance on these estimates.
6. Data & privacy
We store the account, profile and menu data you provide in order to operate the Service. Access is restricted to your account using row-level security. A full Privacy Policy will be published separately; until then, please contact us for any data-related questions. By using the Service you consent to the processing described here.
7. Third-party recipes & content
Some recipes, ingredient lists and imported content originate from third-party sources and remain the property of their respective authors. Where possible, source attribution is preserved within the app. If you are a rights holder and believe content has been used incorrectly, please contact us.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, database schema, engine logic and documentation, is owned by Journaljoy Private Limited and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your community-kitchen planning needs.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe these terms have been breached or if continued operation would pose a legal or security risk. You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and requesting account deletion.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Journaljoy Private Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will increment the version identifier at the top of this page and, where changes are material, ask you to re-accept them the next time you sign in.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
